Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations Update (BS7671: January 2008) - City & Guilds 2382-20 (1 day) The aim of this course is to provide delegates with an awareness of the main alterations and additions incorporated in BS 7671:2008. Objective: The aim of this course is to provide delegates with an awareness of the main alterations and additions incorporated in BS 7671:2008. Only those parts that have changed will be taught and assessed. This course aims to update delegates on the significant differences between the 16th and 17th editions. It will, therefore, focus on the main additions and alterations that have been incorporated in the 2008 (17th) edition. It is primarily aimed at practising electricians and other allied professionals e.g. electrical engineers, contracts managers, designers, consultants, surveyors, and other related trades with a good working knowledge of BS 7671, who have already achieved the City & Guilds Certificate in the requirements for electrical installations (BS 7671: 2001) (2381) or recognized equivalent. It is intended to ensure that they are conversant with the format, content and the application of the current edition of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: 2008 (17th edition). It should be noted that limited instruction will be provided on existing requirements and electrical science. ( See 2 day Refresh and Update Course ) Entry Requirements: Candidates must have achieved a qualification which addresses the requirements for BS 7671 such as the City & Guilds Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671: June 2001 (2381) ( 16th Edition)in order to satisfactorily complete this qualification. Anyone that has not achieved the City & Guilds in the requirements for electrical installations (BS 7671:2001) (2381) should take the qualification addressing the Wiring Regulations in full – the Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations to BS 7671:2008 (2382-10).
